# Dense Star

Dense Stars are a type of shadow material used as a crafting ingredient. They have I, II, III, IV and V variants. Each variant (apart from V) needs 4 of the previous tier of stars to craft the next tier.

This item is notably used to craft the [Passage of the Abyss](https://vertex-wiki.gitbook.io/allura/shadow-materials/intro-to-shadow-materials/passage-of-the-abyss) totalling 1024 nether stars needed to make Dense Star V
