# Salt

Salt is a consumable type of material used to oxidise copper block types.

By using salt on a:

* Copper Block
* Cut Copper Block
* Cut Copper Stairs
* Cut Copper Slab

It will accelerate the oxidisation process, making the block progress to the next weathered state. It performs the opposite function of axe scraping. This process will consume 1 salt.

You can obtain salt by filling a glass bottle with water and using it on a lava cauldron. You will only sometimes get salt from this process.
