# Passage of the Abyss

Passage of the Abyss is a type of shadow material that combines the functionality of the [Time Dilation Jumper](/allura/shadow-materials/intro-to-shadow-materials/time-dilation-jumper.md), [Cosmic Navigator](/allura/shadow-materials/intro-to-shadow-materials/cosmic-navigator.md), [Void Navigator](/allura/shadow-materials/intro-to-shadow-materials/void-navigator.md), and [Rosen Bridge Navigator](/allura/shadow-materials/intro-to-shadow-materials/rosen-bridge-navigator.md) into one item.

The compass can be interacted with by right-clicking while held in your main hand. You will be presented with an interface allowing you to select which compass functionality you'd like to use of the 4 used to craft it.

Unlike its younger siblings, this item is not lost on death.
